01. Opportunity
Globally, rising challenges with water management and governance - largely owed to urbanization, population growth, and climate change - require a new creative and collaborative process. With the ongoing modernization of the Columbia River Treaty, refresh was born to shift the paradigm of how solutions to water governance have long been developed. A brand birth and digital platform were developed for pioneers of a social innovation approach to the challenges of water governance.

04. Logo
These geometric shapes coming together represents the idea of collaboration and integration. A subtle change was done to the terminal of the “r” to form a water droplet - alluding to refresh’s position in the water governance space.
The bold logomark is complemented by the logotype in a lighter font. The wide and rounded type communicates friendliness and approachability. Using colours to highlight the anatomy of the name, the name “refresh” showcases a new way of thinking about fresh water governance.
05. Identity
05. Experience Overview
We delivered a library of resources to help refresh transition to their new brand and website, compiling content guidelines for outreach activities and social media best practices for day-to-day communication. We created a brand guideline to document the newly defined brand identity. Through brand & creative strategy, we were honoured to be a part of shaping a bright future where water governance means collaborative efforts, inclusive communities, and empathy for all forms of life.
